The Empire of Grandelumière (French: l'Empire de Grandelumière) emerged from the western part of Charlemagne's Carolingian Empire, known as West Francia, and achieved increased prominence under the rule of the House of Capet, founded by Hugh Capet in 987. The empire rose as the vanguard of western Europe. In modern day, it is well-regarded as the most senior daughter of the church and the epicentre for European culture, diplomacy, and society.
